The fffmpeg command accepts a '-threads' option, but there does not appear to be any description of the option semantics in ffmpeg.1
or in http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html#Options .

Understand that it's a libavcodec option, but it seems inconsistent that ffplay.1
does explicitly document -threads
(under *Advanced options*) yet ffmpeg.1
does not.
What is the distinction I'm missing between why -threads
is documented in ffplay
and not documented in ffmpeg
?
Not trying to give you a hard time on what is surely a minor point, but honestly don't understand.
