There is no option to select output pixel format or anything like that in this codec, so for now just implement what QT outputs as default. I will look at it later.

Actually there are 12 formats: rgb24, rgba, yuv422, yuva422, yuv444, yuva444, 10 bit variants of above and interlaced$ which are probably broken.

See the files in the archive I posted, most of them decodes correctly with the original codec (progressive and interlaced). Did you already implement decoding of every pix format from this ticket? If so then please send the patch to the ml - this way I will be sure that I'm not creating duplicate files (for already supported pix formats).

I have some issues with Y in 422 subsampling. Also I nowhere see 10bit yuv/rgba samples.
Perhaps you need to import higher bit depth to FCP?

This would be probably 10bit, but no luck. Sheer codec encoded firefox logo into black image, so I probably won't be able to create anything usable with this buggy crap:

Maybe some day someone else will provide 10bit samples (created with older versions of this codec (maybe less buggy?) which are not available anywhere)

Yes I encoded image first to 10bit codec (Blackmagic).

The probelm is that AE (on Win) lists this codec only with support of "Millions of colors" and "Trillion of colors" output is not available (greyed out) - maybe on Mac OS it works better:

I tried AJA Kona 10bit codec and "Trillions of colors" output is available, so AE on Win doesn't like this codec as well.

The file "YCbCr[A]_8bv_4_2_2_[4]_progressive_more_than_mils_of_colors.mov" doesn't decode correctly here with the patch from ffmpeg-devel (3rd frame looks invalid).

Also there seems to be some lack of contrast with "10bit_sheerrgba10bp.mov" from ​​https://www.datafilehost.com/d/6a573fb7 , but I guess you know about this issue?

I fixed first issue. Second one is known, because ffmpeg lacks 10 bit gbrap pixel format.
